Hmmm, I have to disagree Terry. What about Brighton? and there are plenty of Gay people who are really good drinkers. I am not saying that Gay people drink shandy, I am saying that blokes who drink shandy are in fact drinking like a girlie.

The only reason I put a top on my beer is to make it sweet,if they brewed it that way I would not need to add lemonade!
Yes a lot of people in the south drink tops or shandy but the first gay village was in MANCHESTER in the North!

I would like to try and drink you under the table you northern intellectual. lager top is about 1cm of lemonade on top of lager (ie.e a shandy). after about 6-8 pints then its on the jack daniels, try drinking that on a belly full of beer. I am fairly sure I will not win the contest cos I am a southern shandy drinking softie.

The 2 are very different. Plus, if you do a strong shandy, its 3 quarters of a glass of lager and quarter of a glass of lemonade. Its not even that much lemonade in a lager top, its a lot less.

A shandy is half a glass of lemonade and half a glass of lager. A lager top, is a full glass of lager with a VERY VERY small amount on lemonade ON THE TOP just to give it that extra fizz. You cant even taste the lemonade in a lager top as it is such a miniscule amount.
